System Architect Team Lead at Parallel Wireless

Learn more about our mission, vision and values.   The System Architecture Team Lead will lead and mentor a team of system architects responsible for designing, defining, and evolving the end-to-end architecture of advanced 4G, 5G, and NSA (Non-Standalone) mobile network solutions. The role focuses heavily on Layer 2 and Layer 3 system design, ensuring scalable, robust, and standards-compliant architecture across the product portfolio. This individual will serve as the technical authority for the RAN system architecture domain and a key decision-maker in product implementation direction. What you will do: • Lead an existing team of System Architects • Lead cellular features research (e.g. rate adaptation, power control, scheduler, interference mitigation) and define the strategy for implementation • Lead definition of performance and benchmark testing for lab and outdoor experiments • Incorporate feedback from deployed systems into product improvements and technical roadmap • Make sure that the team is engaged with the features from early research level, during implementation and integration toward release to customers What knowledge should you have: • Knowledge in wireless communication theory. Familiarity with at least one of the cellular standards, i.e. 2G/3G/LTE/LTE-Advanced/5G-NR. • Knowledge in networking. • Experienced system engineer, including specification definition, integration, SW development methodologies. • Excellent communication skills, and ability to thrive in a global multi-site environment.
